I teach at Gryphon. They are good guys and will treat you right.

Welcome to my site!

My group classes will start at the end of this month and I'll be offering quite a few this time around. Details here. If you've been looking to try a new instrument, we have a great deal, with Gryphon providing a free nine week rental when you enroll in either my Beginning Banjo or Mandolin Class. Also there will be three of my popular Bluegrass Jam classes, including the two lower level classes where you'll be provided with all the music you'll need for the songs. To sign up for any class, just send me an email to let me know you want in.

The Tuttles with AJ Lee will mostly be doing private shows through Sept, and then Molly will be headed back to Boston to play some gigs in the fall. Our next Bay Area show will be for the Redwood Bluegrass Association on Jan 17th. More details as we get closer.

The Tuttles with AJ Lee

The Tuttles with AJ Lee will be taking a break for a little while, as Molly finishes up her final semester at the Berklee College of Music. She'll be all done in the middle of May and then be home for the summer (minus some travel dates).

What's On My Site

The site is mainly meant to be a resource for my current students in the South San Francisco Bay Area. However, anyone who is learning to play should find something of interest.

Most of the navigation buttons lead to obvious content. Some of things you will find on my website include:

  • Schedule a Lesson lets you schedule a one-time lesson, or reschedule a missed lesson.
  • About Lessons has all the basic information about taking lessons from me including when, where, how much and how to schedule a lesson.
  • Helpful Tips is an entry point for all help for each instrument and a link to the top ten things that you can do to improve your playing. The top ten includes tips for more effective practice.
  • Explore some of the links down the left side to learn more about bluegrass .
