I teach at Gryphon. They are good guys and will treat you right.

Welcome to my site!

The Tuttles with AJ Lee will be playing a concert at Foothill Community Presbyterian Church on Jan 6th in San Jose. With Molly touring extensively and others in college, it's a rare chance to hear the full band. And the last time we played, Molly was having some hand issues, so she only sang. But all is well now and of course these youngsters have all gotten better since the last time we played, so it's going to be an awesome night! Order now - tickets here.

I do have some openings for lessons right now. You can email me: jack@jacktuttle.com for inquiries. If you're looking for a single one-off lesson, I have a calendar here. Otherwise, call or email to set up a regular time. I teach six days a week at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto. For everything you need to know about my banjo, mandolin, guitar or fiddle lessons, go here.

I've been doing a few Skype lessons, and it's going pretty well, so if anyone's interested in trying that, just email me about it.

What's On My Site

  • Schedule a Lesson lets you schedule a one-time lesson, or reschedule a missed lesson.
  • About Lessons has all the basic information about taking lessons from me including when, where, how much and how to schedule a lesson.
  • Helpful Tips is an entry point for all help for each instrument and a link to the top ten things that you can do to improve your playing. The top ten includes tips for more effective practice.
  • Explore some of the links down the left side to learn more about bluegrass .
